P-EBT provides supplemental food assistance benefits to students who have temporarily lost access to free or reduced-price school meals due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of the program is to make sure no student goes hungry by missing out on school meals. 2.Pandemic-EBT provides another way for students who had in-person classes disrupted due to COVID-19 to access food – along with Michigan Department of Education (MDE) programs that have provided meals to students at mobile and stationary locations.
