On the bottom side (near the scan code square under it is the serial!Just ignore them. There is no valid reason I can think of that a buyer would need to know the serial number. There is no serial number lookup tool to indicate if the Shield is "legit", so I don't know how this person would even be able to tell if the serial number is real or not, plus fake Shields are not a thing.1 (100%) To find out when your M&P was made..look on the label on the box, under the SKU number is a smaller number.
