Take this morning's snow report for example. Beaver Mountain is located along scenic Highway 89 in Logan Canyon in Northern Utah. Approximate driving times (in favorable driving conditions) and distances are listed below: Logan: 30 miles - 35 minutes. Ogden: 77 miles – 1 hour, 30 minutes. Salt Lake City: 112 miles – 2 hours. Provo: 155 miles - 2 hours, 45 minutes.

Beaver Mountain, aka ‘Ski The Beav’, celebrates their 62nd year in the family-run business. Conditions couldn’t have been better for the locals that came migrating from Utah, Wyoming and Idaho. The snow was light and deep from top to bottom, with the sun shinning down from above the haze in the valley. So whether you come up for the first ... 1945 - Harold Seeholzer takes over management of the club's operation at Beaver Mountain. 1949-50 - Rope tow and T-bars installed. 1961 - Beaver Face chairlift installed. 1968 - Founder Harold Seeholzer passes. 1970 - Harold's dream of a chairlift to the top of the mountain is fulfilled with opening of Harry's Dream. There are plenty of options for different skill levels and the trails are well-networked. The biggest downside for me is that the mountain is normally only open 9-4. They do offer night skiing for an additional cost on some nights. But overall, amazing snow, great place, and also super cheap. Limited open times. Private lessons are available in hourly increments starting on the hour or half hour. Reservations are required to ensure lesson availability by calling (435) 946-3610, extension 2. Lessons are available for all ability levels, ski or snowboard. Telemark lessons are available upon request.Hunt The Beav - March 2-3, 2019.
